The Sigma Club, University of Ibadan, held a health outreach on Saturday, June 28, 2025 at the SUB Car Park, University of Ibadan.

The outreach is a collaboration with the Medical Women Association of Nigeria (Oyo State Chapter), UI’SU, Asido Network, ICare Nigeria, Colgate, and the Medical Laboratory Science, and it featured health talks, checkups, medical tests, and giveaways which were given to the beneficiaries gratis.

In attendance were medical practitioners: Dr. Temilade Adeyanju, a cardiologist at the University College Hospital (UCH); Dr Adesola Odofin, a consultant in family dentistry, the Sigma Chief, Toyin O. Ayodeji, Sigma Club members, students from the university community and people from the university environs.

In an interview with the Sigma Health Committee Chairman, Daniel Bright Oghenetega, he remarked: “this is the fourth edition, and it aims to prioritize bringing health care to the university and the community at large.”

The Sigma Chief, Toyin O. Ayodeji, while commenting on the outreach, said: “The goal of the outreach is to provide free healthcare access to the UI students. Though the previous one was held at Ijaye, we brought it here for the benefits of the UI students. This, we believe, will accentuate the fact that the Sigma Club is a socio-philantropic club.”
