The University of Ibadan has held her Matriculation Ceremony for the 2024/2025 session today on the 16th of April, 2025 at the International Conference Center, University of Ibadan.

The ceremony started with the arrival of matriculants and distinguished leaders of the University. The Registrar, Mr Ganiu Saliu opened the ceremony and also invited the Vice Chancellor, Professor Kayode O. Adebowale to give the welcome address.

In his speech, the Vice Chancellor welcomed the 4,633 students while mentioning all the wonderful exploits the university has earned over their years. He further encouraged the new students of the premiere university to strive for distinction and excellence both in academics and extracurricular activities. He said, “ You are the best of the best, and that also means you have a lot of work to do.” He ended his speech by congratulating the matriculants for getting into the Premiere university, University of Ibadan.

The matriculation lecture was delivered by Dr Olukayode Abiola Aiyenuyo, the owner and managing director of Taghini Foods Limited and a graduate of the institution in 2007.

The Matriculation Oath was taken, and the 2024/2025 Matriculation Ceremony was brought to a close by the Vice Chancellor.
