A picture of the outgoing and new editorial board

The National Association of Students of English and Literary Studies, University of Ibadan (NASELS UI) Press Organisation has held a virtual handover ceremony and inaugurated the new executives for the 2024/25 academic session on Sunday, 8th of March, 2025.

The Editor-in-chief, Praise Olorunfemi, in his farewell speech described NASELS Press as “a young phoenix rising from the ashes” maintaining the fact that the Local Press did not evolve out of the blue, but has a root. He encouraged the Campus Journalists to embrace Journalism, which he described as a “noble profession” and give it their diligent pursuit. 

Ayobami Atanda, an erstwhile Editor-in-Chief dissolved the current editorial board and the new executives were called. The board consists of the following CJs-Eniola Olagunju emerged as the Editor for Sports/Entertainment Desk, Victor Siyanbola was appointed the Editor for the Media/satire/literature Desk, Damilola Olamurewa is to serve as the Editor for Health/Lifestyle Desk and Oluwaseyifunmitan Bodunde as the Politics Desk Editor, 

Also, Rianat Ademola emerged as the Features Editor, Zenas Olanipekun as the News Editor, Lovina Ita was appointed the Online Editor I, Abigail Kareem as the Online Editor II, Esther Ogunleye as the General Editor, Suliat Adegoke as the Managing Editor and the baton of the Editor-in-Chief was passed to Oluwafeyisayo Adebanjo.

 The inauguration was immediately followed by oath taking after which Praise Olorunfemi, the immediate past Editor-in-Chief led the press prayer bringing the handover and inauguration to a close.
