In the Union of Campus Journalists, University of Ibadan’s (UCJ, UI), just concluded election, to usher in the 37th administration, Victor Siyanbola, the Editor for the Literature/Books & Movie Review Desk, of the National Association of Students of English and Literary Studies Press Organisation (NASELS Press), has emerged as the PRO II elected amongst others.

The election process which was concluded with an electronic voting on February 15th, 2025, saw the emergence of Victor Siyanbola, a 200 level student of the Department of English, and a member of the Editorial Board in the NASELS Press, as the PRO II of the union, defeating his opponent with a total vote of 51 votes to 28 votes, and 4 void votes.

Other elected elected members of the executives include Olanshile Ogunrinu, Editor-in-chief of AFAS Press, President elect with a total of 80 votes and 3 voids, Ogunleye Moboluwarin, Features Editor of UIMSA Press, Vice President (Administration) elect, with a total of 78 votes and 5 void votes, Tolulope Ayeye, Deputy Editor-in-chief of INDY Press, Vice President (Editorial) with a total of 81 votes and 2 void votes, Faith Adediran, Politics Editor for Zik Press, General Secretary with a total of 79 votes and 4 void votes, Shodipe Blessing Boluwatife, Financial Secretary, with a total of 74 votes and 9 void votes, and Ojo Victoria Ayoolajesu, Assistant General Secretary, with a total of 60 votes (her opponent Bajo Victoria Boluwatife having 19 votes) and 4 void votes.

The winners of this election as announced by the Electoral Committee were finalised by a simple majority voting style, via electronic means. The newly executive members of the union are to function as the 37th administration of the Union of Campus Journalists.
