The National Association of Students of English and Literary Studies, University of Ibadan (NASELS UI), held her last congress for the 2023/2024 session on Thursday, February 6th, 2025, for an update on the annual package and a collective decision on the supplemental package.

The Congress which was scheduled to hold by 10:00am got delayed till 11:35am due to low attendance of the members, but the intervention of a senior lecturer, Dr Charles Akinsete, helped encourage students of the association to join.

Giving the update on the package, the president presented the option of gift items including basket, bottle, hand grater and pegs that will come with the mandatory book. With this, the Congress voted for a basket.

Addressing the supplemental package, Hon. Lawal Abdul-Qayyum Kayode and Evangelen Shokunbi suggested that the supplementary package be scrapped and be used for future things that might be needed in the association, but Adeyefa Ebenezer and Hazmat Yetunde countered the motion.

However, the Congress concluded through a vote to retain the supplementary package, but rather get something that is quite affordable.

And with this, the team announced that the collection of the package will span from February 18th to 25th, 2025.
