The Les Oshoalas wins the HOD’s Cup in their match against the Les Brownies on Saturday, 18th January, 2024.

The full-time ended in a 5-3 penalty shootout win at the SUB pitch in favour of Les Oshoalas after both teams played a 1-1 draw in the regular time. 

Les Brownies got the lead in the first half after Obilonu Grace saw the back of the net with a fine finish. Grace Dolor, a player in the 400 level, scored a stunning goal in the second half for Les Oshoalas.

After the first halftime, Mr Yusuf confirmed the teamwork of Les Brownies. He said that the watch was lovely, stating that it was fun to watch. 

He said, “The match is a lovely one. It’s fun to watch them play. They are sharing scores at the moment. I’m rooting for Les Brownies.”

However, the 1-1 draw lasted till the end of the regular time and the winner could only be determined through a penalty shootout. The leader of Les Oshoalas, Dolor, successfully kicked the ball into the net as her other teammates also scored their goals to win the coveted competition in the department.

Clinching the victory through a 4-3  penalty shootout scoreboard, Dolor expressed her delight in her team coming back from behind. 

 “It doesn’t matter who is leading first what matters is who’s leading last,” she stated.
