The National Association of Students of English and Literary Studies, University of Ibadan (NASELS UI) held a karaoke and movie night on January 16, 2025, as part of the lineup activities for the departmental week.

The event which marked the third day of the Nasels week, themed ‘ARI-VITA”,  started with a short Karaoke session as some Naselsites rocked the mic and unleashed their inner rockstars.

The movie screened titled “Damsel” was a hit for the audience, sparking reactions, discussions and engagements.

Sharing her experience about the movie night, a Naselsite admitted her expectation was met.“I actually did. It was amazing and intriguing. The essence of rewriting history and stereotypes.”

 “I honestly just wanted to lift my spirit with something collective, especially out of the bangers of results and yes, I did.” she added.

According to the organising team, the purpose of the night was to help Naselsites relax, unwind, and recharge amidst the intense school activities and examination preparations.
