The University of Ibadan on the 15th November, 2024, held its Day 3 Convocation ceremony for Masters degree graduates at the International Conference Center.
The University graduates 2,868 Masters student from various faculties, including Faculty of Arts, Education, Veterinary Medicine, Faculty of Technology, Economics and Management Science, Renewable Natural Resources, among others.
In the Vice Chancellor’s address, he noted, “the postgraduate college has continued to be a major driving force in the desire to transform into research and postgraduate institution and that is why over the years, we kept on reducing our undergraduate admission and gradually increasing our postgraduates admission on till we get to a ratio of 60 to 40”. He reaffirmed that the institution is committed to academic excellence, research, and community service.
On a final note, the Vice Chancellor urged the graduates to be pragmatic and innovative in their endeavor and also ensure to make use of the experience and knowledge they have gained in their various fields of learning.
Notably, three students emerged with a perfect CGPA of 7.0 and were awarded a scholarship to PHD.
