Oluwabunmi Nafeesat Badru has emerged as the best graduating student from the Department of English, Faculty of Arts with a cumulative grade point average of 3.67 in the 2023/ 2024 Convocation Ceremony.

In an interview with the NASELS Press correspondent, Bunmi claimed to have chosen English, a course that she loves and would market her. 

She said, “I don’t think law can market me because it’s too crowded, and English can because it can fit anywhere so I decided to go for a degree in it” 

“As the best graduating student, my dream was to graduate with a first class, but in 200-level with my grade close to 4.0, I then challenged myself to pursue becoming the best graduating student” Bunmi admits.

Recall that she was once a Treasurer in the department association, and also, a one-time President of The Poetry Club formerly The Okigbo Poetry Club.
