The Department of English of the University of Ibadan in the ongoing convocation ceremony has produced seven first-class students among 54 others that graduated for the 2022/2023 session.

This feat reflects the department’s personal commitment to success and mission in producing academic excellence by fostering a deep understanding and appreciation of English Language and Literature.

Among all, Badru Oluwabunmi Nafeesat emerged as the best graduating student of the department with a CGPA of 3.67.

The department of English which was established in 1948 is one of the oldest departments in the Faculty of Arts and the University.
