Aweda Bolaji, the president of the University of Ibadan Student Union (UISU), informed the protesting students that the school management has extended the payment deadline by three weeks against the initial September 5 payment.
Aweda Bolaji made this known to the angry students who did not want him to talk after betraying them by going into the meeting with the school management behind the students.
He managed to state part of the resolutions made in the meeting as the students though they were not ready to listen to him.
Upon the announcement, the student protesters left the senate building to convene at the SUB Foyer where they often gather.
However, as it stands, NASELS Press can confirm that the students were not happy about the part of the resolution as their ultimate demand is the total reversal of school fees.
A lot of students have echoed that they have lost trust in the body of executives who resolved the deadline extension in a three-hour meeting while the students protested in the rain.
Nonetheless, NASELS Press can affirm that a lot of students are writing their names down to form a congress.
