The first winner, runner-up, and second runner-up in the 7th Annual Fisayo Soyombo Essay Competition will have a 100 thousand naira raise in prizes in the ongoing essay competition. 

Fisayo Soyombo, the sponsor of the Fisayo Soyombo Annual Essay Competition announced via his Facebook timeline. 

In the announcement, he wrote, “Someone reached out last night to signify their intention to donate N100,000 to each category, so I’ve reached out to the organizers to raise each category prize accordingly. I’ll share a new flier soon.” 

As it stands, the first winner will collect a sum of N350,000 against the initial of N250,000, first runner-up will clinch the prize of N250,000 against the initial prize of N150,000, while the second runner-up will go home with N200,000 against the former prize of N100,000. 

The competition, which is in its seventh edition, is organised by the Union of Campus Journalists University of Ibadan (UCJ UI).
