The Civic Club, on Saturday, August 10, 2024, embarked on a cleaning exercise tagged “The Green Project” at the University of Ibadan. 

The Green Project, which is its maiden edition called Cleanup 1.0, commenced at 11 am.

The exercise was spearheaded by the President of the club, Favour Bamijoko alongside the Vice President, Fidelis John, in conjunction with other five members of the club. 

Participants began the exercise from the University of Ibadan first gate and ended it at the Students’ Union Building (SUB).

The first phase of the cleaning started from the main gate to the axis of Heritage Park and the waste was disposed of at the incinerator before the Jaja Clinic.

Its second phase started from the Senate Building to Love Garden, to the park in front of Bello hall and ended at the SUB where the waste was finally disposed of.

At the end of the cleaning exercise, the president, along with the other members of the club, paid a visit to the Vice President of the Students’ Union revealing the club’s commitment to community service and also to the betterment of the school community and the society at large.
