The leadership of the NASELS Press, university of Ibadan, on August 5, 2024, paid a courtesy visit to the Head of Department, English.

The visitation which was the first of its kind in a while was borne out of the Press organisation’s need for consolidation and recognition of the department. While speaking to the visitors, the head, department of English, Professor Nelson Fashina admonished the students to observe protocols in their conducts stressing the need for the student organisation to keep in touch with the department.

Further in his admonition to the students, the head of department implored the students to also pay attention to their studies. He further elaborated this emphasizing that the achievements of the students at the present phase of their career pursuit is the basis on which future endeavours will be premised. 

The meeting which lasted less than an hour ended on a note that presents a promising future for the student organisation as the head of department approved the Press’ letter of request for a staff adviser.
