Ayobami Atanda
Hon. Olatunbosun Opeyemi, a 400-level representative of the English Constituency, has resigned as a member of the Faculty Legislative Council (FLC) of the Association of Faculty of Arts Students (AFAS).
Her resignation notice addressed to the FLC speaker was sent to the 400-level group by the NASELS President, Babatunde Adamson (‘Bomi), on Friday, August 2, 2024.
Part of the letter reads:
“Dear Speaker
RESIGNATION NOTICE
I hope this letter finds you in good health and high spirits. I am writing to formally resign from my position as the 400 Level Representative of the English Constituency in the Faculty Legislative Council, AFAS. My resignation will be effective immediately.
This decision was not made lightly. Over the course of my tenure, I have had the privilege of serving alongside dedicated and talented colleagues. It has been an honor to contribute to the development and representation of our faculty. However, due to personal commitments and academic demands, I believe it is in the best interest of the council and my personal growth to step down from this role.”
Babatunde Adamson, nonetheless, called on the 400-level class representative to conduct the appointment for another representative.
