The office of the Vice President of the National Association of Students of English and Literary Studies, University of Ibadan (NASELS UI) released a memo on the 28th of July, 2024 announcing the appointment of the department librarians, access to the library resources and extended duration of its usage.

Miss Adewole Anuoluwapo, a 400-level student, and Miss Olanipekun Zenas Olamide, a 300-level student emerged as the Chief Librarian and Deputy Chief Librarian respectively having displayed impressive commitment alongside other recognized librarians as revealed. 

Also, the memo states that students of the department now have access to explore the library resources and to borrow books which under the approval of the Library Committee.

Addressing the extended duration of the library usage, the library is now accessible to students between the hours of 10 am – 4 pm and 9 am – 6 pm for the executives and the NASELS creatives. The library will also be available for night reading during exams period as the memo stated.

Library users are enjoined to demonstrate courteous behavior to the Librarians as this will aid the execution of their duties efficiently.
