Nigeria has been experiencing a great economic depression which cost every commodity and food stuff to be on the high side. Everything from food to transportation has become expensive not excluding the price of hair attachments and the cost of making and maintaining the hair. But in these hard times one has to find an alternative, therefore, it is not surprising that people now opt for Brazilian wool to make their hair instead of using attachment which is just three hundred naira compared to an attachment of five thousand naira . In fact, the rate at which people use Brazilian wool is evident that hardly will you pass in your faculty or in a classroom that you will not find at least three persons in a Brazilian wool.

Now, if you are asking yourself what hair to make with a Brazilian wool well you can take all back also known as cornrow as an example. Cornrows are done with playing the hair straight to the back of the head. One can use natural hair or Brazilian wool. Hardly will you sense the difference between a Conrow made with wool and the one with an attachment , though some of the effort still lies with your hairdresser. But the bottom line is, you save your money and you still get a nice hair do. Additionally, there are other hairstyles one can make with Brazilian wool. Hairstyles like braids, koroba, Suku, and the likes of the them.

In addition to Brazilian wool, there are other budget friendly hair options to consider. An example is going bald. Yes, it might sound crazy but the amusing thing is people are going bald now and it is quite beautiful to see. Going bald saves you from constantly visiting the hair salon and spending unnecessary and ridiculous amounts of money to make one hairstyle. What you just need to do to maintain your bald hair is to; clean, shave and wash the head regularly and make sure to exfoliate it constantly. Going bald often gives off a bold look of confidence and it sets one apart from others. So why not consider going bald as an option in order to save you the stress and cost of making hair.

Also, using kinky hair is not common amongst students nowadays. A pack of kinky, the large size to be precise is enough to make long or medium length braids depending on one’s  choice and it is sold for about five thousand naira. Although compared to the cost of an attachment, the difference is not that great but it is still preferred to an attachment due to the fact that it is more in size. Also,  kinky can be used for different hairstyles ranging from juicy twists to braids, short bobs and   even cornrows.

For those with natural hair, packing natural is another way of maintaining a good look and reducing cost. Packing one’s hair might seem rigorous and stressful but it is worth it. You can pack your hair into different styles depending on your choice. One can even make an afro, what you just need is a comb, an edge control or gel and a hair band. Packing one’s hair allows diversity and creativity as different styles are at one disposal.  Apart from packing your natural hair you can opt for playing it without adding wool or attachment. Styles like cornrows which one can be creative with by adding a  zig zag, Bantu knot, braids with feathers,  juicy twists and a lot of them.

Lastly, there is the dread lock which is quite expensive to make but in the long run it is worth it. The process of getting a dread lock requires a lot of money and product but it is durable and you can carry it for as long as you want. You can also pack it into  different styles, to spice it up you can tint it. The sweet thing about going on dreadlocks is that you are exempted from the pain that comes with combing one’s hair and aside this, you are saving yourself the cost of making your hair every now and then.

To conclude, whether you decide to go on dreads, opt for a Brazilian wool or you go with your natural hair, be rest assured that these hairstyles offer a cost effective way to maintain  your steeze and beauty during this tough economy.
