Following the earlier reaction of students to the circular released, and to which has generated a lot of public attention from the University community and some national media outlets, the management of the University of Ibadan after some hours of deliberation with the Student Union and some stakeholders, have offered nine (9) resolutions in response to the students requests on July 17, 2024.  

Recall that NASELS PRESS made some publications in an address to the earlier released memo and the reaction of students on campus. 

The resolutions then read thus:

‘-The management will immediately release a memo debunking the 10- hour electricity scheduling memo that suffice yesterday.

– Ges textbooks purchase as a prerequisite for registration for GES courses is scraped with immediate effect.

-The management reiterates that the sale of handouts is prohibited in the University, and any lecturer who violates this rule will be punished.

-The electricity situation at Alexander Brown Hall will be assessed by maintenance tomorrow and further actions to be taken.

-A special time duration will be designated for students alone at the University Health Services (JAJA Clinic) to reduce waiting hours.

-The August 4 deadline earlier set as deadline for fee payment is overruled.

-The University Management will represent a revised school fees to the Governing Council as soon as possible.

– The Student Union enjoins students to refrain from paying school fees until it is reviewed by the University Management.
