John Taiwo

Professor Emeritus Ayo Banjo, a former vice Chancellor at the University of Ibadan, died at the early hours of Friday, 24th of May, 2024.

Prof Ayo Banjo during his earthly sojourn was an educational administrator who chaired the office of the President, Nigeria Academy of Letters between 2000 and 2004. The deceased was also a former pro-chancellor of Ajayi Crowther University, University of Port Harcourt, and the University of Ilorin.

The legacy of the deceased comprises publications and leadership at different professional bodies as the chairman, Sigma Foundation; President, Nigeria Academy of Letters; among others.
