The National Association Of Students Of English and Literary Studies Press (NASELS Press) held its hangout event on the 27th of April 2024 at Heritage Park, as they ushered in a new set of Editorial Board for the 2023/2024 academic session.

After much scrutiny through the nomination and interviewing stage, twelve campus journalists emerged as the new editors who are to spearhead the Press organization for the next session.

The following is the new set of editors:Olorunfemi Praise; Editor-in-Chief, Favour Ibitunde; Deputy Editor-in-Chief, Awoko Emmanuel; General Editor, Ogunleye Esther; Online and Sports Editor, Olumurewa Damilola; Lifestyle and Health Editor, Akinsola Rebecca; Managing Editor, Ademola Rianat; Feature Editor, Adebanjo Oluwafeyisayo; News Editor, Adedeji Funmilayo; Politics Editor, Ita Lovina; Language Editor, Siyanbola Victor; Literature/Satire/Movie Review/Book Review and lastly Adeniji John Taiwo as the Opinion/Interview/Vox pop editor.

Then, Atanda Ayobami, the outgoing Editor-in-Chief, commended every campus journalist. He confessed, “We all tried.” He admonished the NASELS Press campus journalists to keep improving the face of the organization with their well-informed journalistic writing.

In the meantime, certificates were awarded to every member for their frequent participation in the press publications, and also to those who took part in the NASELS Press Workshop that was held on March 2, 2024. The last set of certificates went to the best campus journalist of each desk, while Awoko Emmanuel emerged as the Most Consistent Campus Journalist of the session, and Ogunleye Esther as the Best Campus Journalist for the session.

This hangout featured ambient music alongside a variety of games, one of which was Charade. The atmosphere at the hangout was lively as every campus journalist’s face was lit with smiles.
