In the wake of the recent hike in school fees, University of Ibadan students have passed a vote of no confidence on the aspirants running to occupy different positions in the University of Ibadan Student Union.

The University of Ibadan students, on Tuesday, called for the suspension of the current electoral process due to the absence of the all-presidential candidates, as the students passed a vote of no confidence on the aspirants in the congress held as the SUB Foyer, University of Ibadan.

Recall that the election is slated to be held on Saturday 20th April 2024, while the press night is supposed to be held tomorrow.

However, due to the presidential aspirants’ conspicuous absence in the congress, the UI students concluded that the present would-be leaders did not have the temerity to fight for the interest of the students.

The students resolved that the best thing to avoid a weak union is to suspend the forthcoming election slated to be held on Saturday.
