The National Association of Students of English and Literary Studies, University of Ibadan, is set to hold the NASELS Dinner and Awards Night ’24 themed ‘Phoenix Banquet‘ on 26th April 2024, at the Abdulsalami Abubakar Postgraduate Hall, University of Ibadan, at 4 pm.

The annual ceremony, which had been cancelled in the last three sessions, will be held immediately a day after the last examination in the department for the 2022/2023 academic session on 25th April 2024.

Akomolafe Similoluwa, the NASELS UI president, in a broadcast message sent to the NASELS Family Page, made the announcement of the Dinner and Awards Night known to the NASELSites.

A part of her statement reads, “Get ready to rise from the ashes of academic workload and join a host of other well-meaning NASELSites who will be converging to restore the lost legacy.

Mingle with fellow scholars as we celebrate ourselves because we’re all achievers in the forthcoming NASELS DINNER and AWARD NIGHT ’24.”

In the BC, it was announced that the ticket fee is N3,000. Interested members of the body are enjoined to pay to redeem the lost legacy. Recall that the NASELS has not held any dinner nights in the last three sessions.

However, the Dinner and Awards Nights ’24 is the fourth event organised by the Similoluwa-led executive council codenamed Team Rejuvenation, having organised Retro Day, Movie Night tagged “A Night of Horror” , and The NASELS Week ’24.
