The 400-level male team, earlier on Friday 22nd March 2024, defeated the 300-level Male Team to lift the coveted HOD’s Cup at the Mini SUB Pitch, University of Ibadan.

The football competition, an honour of the present Head of Department, Prof. Nelson Fashina, had all the levels locked horns in football in both male and female categories.

In the final, both teams scored 2 goals each in full-time time to force the game into a penalty shootout. The 400-level team triumphed, playing 6 penalty kicks inside the net, while the 300-level team scored 5 penalty kicks.

Recall that the two male teams got to the finals after defeating the 200-level and 100-level male teams. The 300-level team had trashed the 200-level team 6 goals to nil, while the 400-level team had narrowly defeated the 100-level team in a cracker, which ended in 2 goals to 1.

The joint female category saw the 400-level and 100-level combined team defeating the 300-level and 200-level combined team on Saturday 16th March 2024.

However, the HOD’s Cup was part of the NASELS Week ’24 organised by Akomolafe Sinmiloluwa-led executive council codenamed Team Rejuvenation.
