The National Association of Students of English and Literary Studies (NASELS), University of Ibadan, on Thursday, 14th March 2024, held a career conference on the first day of NASELS Week ’24.

The programme tagged ‘Navigate Your Future: Skills And Strategies For Career And Financial Success’ was held as part of the year’s edition of the association’s week. The programme, which started at 11 a.m. witnessed the presence of Engineer Adepoju, the guest speaker of the day, Professor Toyin Jegede, the student panelists and their colleagues in the Department of English.

In her speech, Engr. Adepoju implored the students to know the reasons for everything they do stressing that it helps them do things differently. In her own words, the students are in the school for a reason. She opined that they are in the university for a purpose.

Further, she emphasised the evolution of the world and the need to maximise opportunities.

The meeting ended with an impactful question and answer session following a panel session with Mujeeb Qozeem, Bamidele Iyanuoluwa, and Muideen Mujeeb.
