Can we meet you?
Yes. Sure. I am Mujeeb Olaide QOZEEM.
You’re now a finalist. How does it feel?
Well, I’d rather say it is a mixed feeling. On one hand, I am happy that I will soon be leaving UI after spending 6 years on a 4-year course. On the other hand, I am a little bit nervous about what life holds for me after my undergraduate programme.
Share your experience of your stay in UI.
A myriad of experiences, I’d say. It may take a while to relay everything because it’s a whole lot of stuff. However, one thing that I love about UI is that it is an enabling environment for knowledge acquisition. Happy that the UI has gone through me and I have gone through the UI as well.
Will you choose UI and the Department of English again?
Of course, yes. I will choose UI and English over and over again.
Describe NASELS in a few words.
A dynamic hub of innovative people whose vision thrives on teamwork and collaboration.
You are almost through studying a you-can-work-anywhere course; tell us about your plans as you are about to enter the labour market.
My plans?
Well, part of my plans after graduation is to focus on my tech journey and become a world-class Product Designer. Don’t have many plans for the course I’m currently studying. Hopefully, in the future, I may consider looking for opportunities surrounding the course I study.
Best quote?
I have none.
Certificate and sabificate, which one do you choose and why?
Sabificate. What the market needs is your innovation and creativity, not the certificate you hold.
What is your favourite colour?
White.
Tell us about a person who inspires you most and how.
That would be my Proprietor at the secondary school where I graduated. He was also my English teacher then. He has been a source of inspiration for me. Anytime I remember one of his teachings, there is usually a renewed vigour and enthusiasm that goes through my veins.
Best food?
Stir-fry spaghetti.
