The Okigbo Poetry Club of the University of Ibadan is set to hold the maiden edition of her poetry workshop at the Faculty of Arts, SLT on the 23rd of February 2024, and the event aims to reignite the spirit of dying poetry in the 21st Century.

This poetry workshop, hosted by the Bomi Adamson-led administration is themed “Engaging Poetry in the 21st Century” under the coordination of Okigbo Poetry Club which is a group where creativity is birthed, delivered by highly spirited, and well-nourished writers.

The club, which is attached to the Faculty of Arts, comprises different members who are interested in using words to convey messages and change the scheme of things in the world of Literature.

As stated, the workshop will be holding at SLT, Faculty of Arts by 2:00 PM, and there, the attendees will be opportune to draw from the wells of knowledge of some prolific scholars who are making giant strides in the Poetry Genre and they are Professor Remi Raji who is the Club Patron, and Dr. Charles Akinsete.

Readers and lovers of poetry are expected to be in attendance as the workshop will definitely be worth their while.
