Amidst the fun, the NASELS Press interviewed some attendees about their perceptions of the event and also heard out their suggestions for the days ahead being that the department hasn’t been that lively before.

Firstly, a NASELSite and 200-level student of the department, name withheld, responded to the press.
“Today has been overwhelming and about the event, the executives did so well and I must say they outdid the expectations of everyone and I believe NASELSites will respond much more to social activities, unlike the past years.”

Also, Hamzat Yetunde Gold- The social director of the current administration also commented in the midst of the merriment. “It has been an exciting, interesting, and stressful moment so far. However, I really enjoy every bit of it.”
In her words, the event is the first general event that awakens life in terms of attendance from every NASELSites. Therefore, she made a suggestion, “Future executives should strive towards getting better than us and they should continue what we have started.”

Also from James Gloria, a 100-level student expressed her feeling by saying, “It feels nice recreating the past and it gives me the opportunity to dress and change my fashion sense, and precisely, dressing in my mother’s past fashion style.”
Therefore, she stressed the need for the continuity of such an event as this even as we proceed on our journey in the University of Ibadan.

Another participant by the name- Owoeye Tobiloba Moses also opined his view for the event. He stated, “Today has been fantastic and it appears to be a comic relief in the tragic scenes of tension that we have been experiencing since the beginning of the semester.”
He also suggested that fun events like this should continue to come up once in a while.

Kolawole Emmanuel, a 200 level course representative stated that he has been enjoying all day and it has been an awesome moment so far even in the midst of morphological typology.
He suggested, “NASELSites should keep up with unity, oneness and keep up the spirit cause this is beyond reviving the department, rather, it is promotion at the faculty level”
