            NATIONAL NO BRA DAY 2023

   Every 13th day of October marks National No Bra Day which encourages women to go braless to raise awareness of breast cancer and encourage ladies to care for their breast.

    It is an annual celebration originated as a social media movement in support of breast cancer awareness initially observed in July 9, 2011 but had moved to 13th day of October. It is a day to remember the victims, celebrate the survivors and create awareness of Breast Cancer.

       Breast Cancer is the most frequently diagnosed life-threatening cancer in woman and is becoming alarming in younger women. Women are implored to conduct a self breast examination in discovering lumps in the breast which can be cancerous.

      However, many reactions has risen from women going braless in celebrating this day as various pictures of ladies flaunt the social media Many showed their disapproval in various tweet.

“The intention for the day is noble, but as usual, it will be abused by randy folks”, “… This day was never about any awareness on breast cancer, it was about harlotry, immorality, and debauchery… as expected, low IQ lots would jump on it”.

     Some seems to love the idea apparently evident in their tweets. “show me, can I gbenusi”, “me likey😍”, chei, see breaswt”, “wow, my eyes are itching me. Some melons are over ripe waiting for the eater”.

     Nevertheless, No Bra Day celebration is an empowering day allowing individuals, organizations and communities to engage in activities that promotes breast health.
