Can we meet you?
I am Fasasi Suliton Olasunkanmi, a fresher of the Department of English and Literature. I am from one peaceful town called (Okeho) under Oyo state. I am into digital marketing and also a painter.
What stimulated you to choose English?
Hmm. You know, English is such a loving language! Its dynamism makes me want to study it. Besides, I want to be a writer, and orator in the future!
What do you want to become in future?
A prolific writer, an orator and a ships seller!
Ship seller? Can you explain that?
Of course, yes! Owning and selling ships in the future isn’t part of my dreams but I borrowed it from my boss in a digital marketing job. You know, we can also borrow a dream or dreams.
Hmmm! How is that feasible?
Nothing is impossible! My good brother (lol). It may not happen now, in the next 5 years or 10 years or even 20 years but it will surely become reality. Why? Because I will work towards and I believe it won’t be a figment of mine!
Tell us how you feel about being a student of the first and the best university?
Fess and Bess!
I have many dreams. Being a student of The Faculty of Law in this school was one of it but got altered when I got shenked by this school in 2019. I did another jamb and chose English. Here I am today, a dream has become reality! I always feel happy anytime I remember this.
What is your perspective about life?
Well, my perspective about this life is like we are dreaming right now and we are gonna wake up one day.
Hmm! How are we dreaming and how do we wake up?
Are you talking as a religionist?
Nah! I have been thinking like this since I was a kid( lol). I am not talking from a religious view though.
Tell us about the business or life skill that you have?
Great! I am a digital marketer and also a painter. I started digital marketing when we finished our Post UTME. I have gained some skills that are worth selling and experience that are worth saying.
One of my brothers is a painter and I always go out to work with him during any holiday.
How has it been yielding?
Thanks for asking that! I have drafted out a plan once I heard of the ASUU strike but I couldn’t follow it because of all the registrations we are doing RN. I believe I will balance them soon. In 2 or 3 weeks to come!
What are your likes and dislikes?
Hmm. Like seriously, I have asked myself this question before but I don’t find an answer to it! Well, in terms of attitude, I like loving people and I like being loved too. I hate unrequited love!
For food; if suya is any type of food, I really like it! I like (Dokunu), Hausa food and any spicy food too.
I like playing phone games and reading poems too!
What is your best quote?
Some of my favourite quotes are:
“Patience must be observed most at the moment a calamity strikes”.
” When the caterpillar thought the world was ending, it became a butterfly”!
What advice would you like to give your fellow fresh students?
Nobody can motivate you if you can’t motivate yourself! Aim high and believe in it!
