The Senate of the University of Ibadan has this evening  of Friday, 30th August 2019  reinstated the suspended Students Union.

According to a news report by the Tree Club Press, the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Abel Olayinka confirmed the decision of the Senate in a chat with one of their reporters this evening.

The VC was quoted to have said, “It is true. All the best wishes”.

It would be recalled that the Ojo Aderemi-led Students Union was suspended in 2017 following protest which according to the authorities, was a breach of public peace and assault on one of the lecturers.
